Care for Pieces
A little care goes a long way with vintage and sterling silver.
Everyday Wear
- Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion, and hairspray
- Take it off before swimming, showering, or working out
- Keep it away from household cleaners and chlorine
Storage
- Store pieces separately so they don't scratch each other
- A soft pouch or lined box works well, and keep sterling silver away from humidity
- Anti-tarnish strips help if you're storing silver for a while
Cleaning
A polishing cloth handles most everyday tarnish on sterling silver. For vintage pieces with stones or delicate settings, skip the ultrasonic cleaners and harsh dips, a soft damp cloth is usually the safer bet. If you're not sure about an older piece, ask us first through our Contact page.
